This video-blog review by Charbax dated June 9, 2010 features a tablet computer called the "Malata SMB-A1011". It runs the Google operating system named "Android". It is a 10-inch (24 centimeter) screen called "Capacitive" meaning touch sensitive.
This device might be great for recording field notes like conservation plans, instead of writing on paper, and transcribing into a computer back in the office.

It makes a line of portable tablet PCs that appear excellent for field work. It is a real time saver to eliminate writing field notes on paper, than copying over the data to a computer.
